Evaluation Process
-
Schedule a consult call with me to see if an evaluation is a good fit and to get it scheduled.
-
Parents or caregivers complete a clinical interview via telehealth (or in person if preferred) to share their child's story. Your child may be very different in office with me, and that's okay. You will tell me all about what they are like on a daily basis.
-
I will first observe your child in their daycare or preschool setting. Next, they will come to my office for a 2.5-3 hour testing appointment. The observation is included in the cost.
-
I will see your child for two 2.5-hour testing sessions. During that time, there are multiple common waiting areas for you to comfortably work remotely, read, etc. Your child will get ‘brain breaks’ as needed.
-
Once all testing and observations are completed, I will provide verbal feedback to the parents/caregivers via telehealth or in-person if preferred. We will review the results/impressions and discuss the best path forward for supporting your amazing child.
-
Lastly, I will review the results with your child in a separate ‘child feedback’ session. For younger children, parents are most often included in the appointment. Directly sharing the information I learned about them is respectful and helps to reduce shame.
-
You will receive a written report summarizing all of the results and data gathered within two weeks from the parent feedback. This document can be shared with educators and treatment providers for coordination of care.
