• I care deeply about every child, teen, and adult I meet, including all of the parents/caretakers. I conduct all of the testing directly with your child (no psychometrists or interns). You will receive the report in a timely manner, within two weeks of the parent feedback session. I promise to have fun with your child and make them laugh.

  • Insurance companies often limit what kinds of testing are covered and how much time can be spent, which can prevent me from providing a thorough and personalized evaluation. By staying out-of-network, I can focus fully on your child’s needs and provide a complete, detailed assessment. I will give you a “superbill” that you can submit to your insurance company to request possible out-of-network reimbursement.

  • That’s okay! Many children are on their ‘best behavior’ in my office. That’s why I spend 90 minutes hearing your child’s story directly from you, along with reviewing records, such as questionnaires completed by their teacher.

  • Tell your child that they are going to meet Dr. Melissa, who is a different kind of doctor that learns all about how kids learn best and how to help with tricky situations. With Melissa, they will be doing a lot of different activities, some of it will be easy, some of it will be hard. Their only job is to try their best.

  • Don’t sweat it! I want your child to feel well throughout the evaluation. I’ll be happy to work with you to get it rescheduled in a timely manner.

  • If your child is sick, I will work with you to reschedule the testing appointment(s) one time at no additional cost. I block out significant amounts of time for each client I see. If you cancel at least 5 business days before the appointment, your deposit will be reimbursed. If it is within 5 days of the appointment, the deposit is non-refundable.
